AFK-Assistant 2.0 Update: What’s new?

The most requested AFK-Assistant feature has just arrived.

2.0 update: User configurable speed settings

One feature that has the most requests from AFK-Assistant community is finally available:
Users can now set the speed for mouse activity, keyboard activity and scrolling – individually!

AFK-Assistant 2.0, user settings

How to use speed settings?

Each time an action is performed, AFK-Assistant 2.0 will choose a new random number between minimum and maximum idle time and perform the same action again.
This creates an illusion of random use and enables configuring the frequency of usage for each action.

For example, let’s take a look at mouse settings.

Mouse minimum idle time is set to 700 ms (0.7 seconds).
Mouse maximum idle time is set to 2850 ms (2.85 seconds).

AFK-Assistant will read those settings and choose a random number between those two values, for example 1500 ms (1.5 seconds), and perform one random cursor movement after the chosen time period.

After that, a new random number will be selected, also between those two set values, and a new random cursor movement will be performed.

In this way, the amount of time that passes between two cursor movements will always be different randomly selected number which mimics human behavior.
In addition, new cursor position is also randomly selected, which even more ads to the illusion of mouse being actively used by a human and not a bot.

How to make mouse move "faster" (more frequently)?

In order to make cursor movements more frequent, it’s necessary to set a minimum idle time as low as needed and set maximum idle time as close to minimum as required.

Example:

– Minimum idle time: 300 ms
– Maximum idle time: 500 ms

With these settings, cursor movements will be repeatedly performed between every 0.3 and 0.5 seconds.

Same applies to keyboard and scrolling settings.

What's the benefit of these settings?

Some of our customers are using our products in order to trick time tracking software such as Time Doctor and DeskTime.

Both of these two mentioned, as many other time tracking apps, use mouse and keyboard activity tracking.
Basically, this means that the time tracking software will make a report for frequency of use for mouse and keyboard.

Now, since we already know that, we can be smart about the way we design our app functionality.

If AFK-Assistant generated mouse and keyboard activity that has same frequency of usage in each report, it would be obvious that something’s going on.
But, this is NOT how AFK-Assistant works.

We generate keyboard and mouse activity in random time intervals, which means that time tracking software activity reports will always show different frequency of use, which is exactly how human activity would be recorded.

Now, speed settings come into play.

If we notice that mouse and keyboard activity report is showing a low level of activity, this can be changed with settings feature added in AFK-Assistant 2.0 version.
If, however, time tracking app is generating reports with activity being too high, this too can be changed with new settings feature.

AFK-Assistant can now be adjusted to work perfectly as you need it!

AFK-Assistant, the way you need it!

Depending on your job description, you might be expected to have higher or lower activity levels in time tracking software reports.

Now, with latest 2.0 version, you can adjust AFK-Assistant settings to your liking and needs.
